Last month, I visited beautiful Negril, Jamaica, home to world famous Seven Mile Beach on the western side of the island.
We stayed first at Azul Beach Resort which offers adult only, as well as multigenerational accommodations in a standard or Premium level room. Premium amenities include the services of Beach butlers - so nice for getting you a drink or setting up your beach chairs! And, they also have a separate check in area and upgraded amenities.
All suites have air conditioning, a TV, king size bed or king plus sofa bed, laptop size digital safe, a really nice amenity kit, mini bar, fridge, coffee maker and a balcony or terrace with a circular lounge bed. With 285 rooms and a wide variety of room types to suit your travel party, everyone can find the perfect suite for them!
Most rooms have an ocean view while others offer a pool view. And many of the first floor rooms on the adult only side have a swim out. On the family side of the resort, there are one and two bedroom suites - perfect for putting kids to bed a little early.
Azul Beach Resort offers nine Gourmet Inclusive Restaurants, including Ackee for Caribbean Cuisine, Di Romagna for Italian and Hua Hin Asian Cuisine. I loved lunch on the beach at Garfield Beach House. Casual and picture perfect - we dined at picnic tables under the trees right on the beach. And the food was outstanding! Jerk fish, jerk chicken, rice and veggies were just right.
Azul Beach Resort in Negril, like many businesses, had not fully reopened during my visit. However, the staff there was extremely welcoming to us and they were working very hard to accommodate guests. Seven Mile Beach lives up to its reputation - clear water, soft sand and incredible views. I didn't want to leave!

I recommend Azul Beach Resort for folks looking for a low-key, relaxing vacation where the beach is a priority. As you can see, that beach is amazing! Whether you want to sit back and relax or get out on a catamaran or snorkel out there, the beach is the place to be!
