Character Dining has Returned

So

many things have changed at Walt Disney World over the past year. When the parks first reopened, fans learned that there would be no character dining. This news was disappointing because dining with characters has become incredibly popular.

Good news! Character dining is BACK!

At Magic Kingdom, guests can dine at Cinderella's Royal Table inside Cinderella Castle. While not guaranteed to appear, Cinderella has been out in the dining room. She waves and poses in one appearance and then she comes out again to lead the Wish ceremony. The food here was really good when I visited and my friend and I enjoyed our meal. It's a bit expensive for a family but the children I saw were really excited to see Cinderella and, dining in the Castle is always a special experience.

Be Our Guest offers a similar experience with the Beast making an appearance at dinner only. The food here is, again, very good. This is less of a character experience than Cinderella's Royal Table: Beast only appears in the main ballroom.

In Epcot, fan favorite Garden Grill serves family style lunch and dinner. All the usual characters, Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale appear. Guests are seated on the lower circle and the characters appear on the upper level behind diners.

Hollywood Studios has Minnie's Seasonal Dine at Hollywood & Vine. I was there for the Halloween theme. The characters are now dressed for Christmas. After that, they will be dressed for Spring. So cute!! And, the food was really good. This was a buffet in the past but is now a prix fixe meal with about 5 or 6 entree choices (including a vegetarian option).

Animal Kingdom has no character meal, currently.

Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort serves a delicious breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy. **This is my favorite character meal at Walt Disney World!!

Chef Mickey's at The Contemporary Resort starts having characters again in December.

Bonus: If you have the time in your trip, you can enjoy an amazing breakfast with Goofy, Mickey, Minnie and Donald over at the Four Seasons.
