The long-awaited update to My Disney Experience, Disney Genie, has been announced. Set to launch this Fall, Disney Genie will help guests at both US parks (Walt Disney World and Disneyland) manage their visits.
While we don't have all of the information at this time, we do know that Disney Genie will allow guests a lot of flexibility and information. Gone are the days of selecting rides 60 days in advance. With Disney Genie, guests can maximize their park time by focusing on certain attractions or interests, like Star Wars or princesses.
There will also be a paid component called Disney Genie+ which is similar to the Disneyland MaxPass, which my family used and loved when we visited.
In addition, Disney Genie will allow guests to join a waitlist for a restaurant without having to go to the location. Mobile Order remains in place for Quick Service meals as well - which is a wonderful convenience.
