Ferrari Train to Venice: Day 6 of my Italy Adventures by Disney trip

Updated: Feb 14

How are there only two day left on this itinerary?!?

We packed in so much and had once in a lifetime experiences. It was hard to believe we were on Day 6 and off to our final stop - iconic Venice. Adventures by Disney handled our checked bags so all we had to do was enjoy one last breakfast at our Tuscany hotel and take our carry on bags to board the train, built by Ferrari, for the ride to Venice.

Our Adventures by Disney Guides truly made the trip! Always on hand, leading the way with the iconic orange paddle, friendly and upbeat even though I am certain they were juggling a million details. So grateful to Ken and Marcello for helping us create amazing memories! Pictured - Marcello leading us out of the train station into Venice.

Once in Venice, I was incredibly grateful NOT to be wheeling my luggage up and down the steps and bridges - bump, bump, bump all the way up and bump, bump, bump down over and over again. Thank goodness for ABD!!

First on the agenda - a gondola tour, of course. Once again, our guides were so thoughtful. We waited for our gondolas on the shoreline. Several of us wanted to use a restroom and did not have a euro coin on hand. Guess who did have some euros? Our guide of course!

The gondola ride is very touristy - but fun. We enjoyed the experience with the sights of Venice and a serenade to boot!

Next we were met by our Venice step on guide for a walking tour to Piazza San Marco - the most visited site in Venice. I learned so many things that I did not know, and was never taught about the city-state of Venice - once a powerful force in the region. We toured the church as well.

It was very hot in Venice and we were all ready to get to our accommodations and check in. We took a water taxi to the hotel which was lovely. Our guides assisted us in making dining reservations for the evening. Many of the restaurants were on the water and it was a lovely evening. Our hotel also had a rooftop bar and the view was gorgeous (see photo)!!
